Using the ranges on our pricing and allowance pages, a regular US arrangement costs about $2,000 to $3,500 a month in allowance plus roughly $50 to $375 a month in platform fees, before dinners, gifts and travel.
Most cost guides quote a single average. The real cost depends on four lines: the platform, the allowance or per-meeting amount, what you spend when you meet, and extras such as gifts and trips. This page adds those up for men, using the same figures as the rest of the site. For the practical steps, see how to be a sugar daddy.
The short answer
- Platform: USD 150 for 30 days of Seeking Platinum, or USD 375 for Diamond, from Seeking's own January 2026 price announcement. Credit-based sites start around USD 50 to 59 per pack.
- Allowance: about $2,000 to $3,500 a month for a regular arrangement, or $300 to $500 per meeting, per the community-reported ranges in our allowance guide.
- Extras: dining, gifts and travel can match or exceed the allowance.
- Illustrative totals below run from about $1,350 to $8,875 a month.

Seeking's billing FAQ says "All sales are final. We are unable to offer refunds," and plans renew unless you cancel. (Seeking FAQ) On credit sites, the cost per real conversation rises with every unlock spent on an inactive or fake profile. Details: Seeking pricing and Secret Benefits pricing.
Line 2: Allowance or pay per meet
These are the figures from our allowance guide, which describes them as commonly reported ranges rather than survey results.
| Type | Range | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Monthly, market rate | $2,000 to $3,500 | Allowance guide (community-reported) |
| Monthly, above average | $4,000 to $6,000 | Allowance guide (community-reported) |
| Monthly, elite | $8,000 to $20,000+ | Allowance guide (community-reported) |
| PPM, standard | $300 to $500 per meeting | Allowance guide (community-reported) |
| PPM, above average | $600 to $1,000 per meeting | Allowance guide (community-reported) |
| Exclusivity | Adds roughly 20% to 40% | Allowance guide (community-reported) |
Checked October 2026.
City changes everything: the same guide lists New York City at $3,500 to $10,000 or more a month, and smaller cities at $800 to $2,000. For which structure suits you, read PPM vs monthly allowance.
Line 3: Dates, gifts and travel
The allowance guide also gives rough monthly values for non-cash spending:
| Item | Approximate monthly value | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Regular fine dining | $500 to $1,500 | Allowance guide (community-reported) |
| Business-class trip, one a month | $1,000 to $4,000 | Allowance guide (community-reported) |
| Designer bag, one a month | $500 to $5,000 | Allowance guide (community-reported) |
| Rent coverage, major city | $2,000 to $4,000 | Allowance guide (community-reported) |

Three illustrative budgets
These are illustrative arithmetic, not averages or survey results. Each line uses the low end of a range cited above unless stated. Your numbers will differ by city, frequency and taste.
| Scenario | Inputs | Monthly total | If repeated for 12 months |
|---|---|---|---|
| Light | 4 PPM meetings at $300 + Seeking Platinum $150 | $1,350 | $16,200 |
| Medium | $2,500 monthly allowance (2 to 3 meetings a week) + Seeking Platinum $150 + fine dining $500 | $3,150 | $37,800 |
| Heavy | $6,000 allowance (top of "above average") + Seeking Diamond $375 + fine dining $1,500 + one trip $1,000 | $8,875 | $106,500 |
The $2,500 figure in the medium row is the "typical structure" example in our allowance guide. Adding the 20% to 40% exclusivity premium to that allowance would put it at $3,000 to $3,500.
Costs people forget
Taxes on large transfers. The IRS defines a gift as a transfer "where full consideration (measured in money or money's worth) is not received in return," and says "the donor is generally responsible for paying the gift tax." (IRS gift tax FAQ) For 2026 the annual exclusion is $19,000 per recipient. (IRS) Above that, the giver generally has to file Form 709, though tax is usually not due until a much larger lifetime amount is used. The medium and heavy scenarios above both pass $19,000 a year in allowance alone. Whether an allowance counts as a gift depends on the facts, so ask a tax professional.
Renewals. Auto-renewing plans keep charging until you cancel, and SugarDaddyMeet users report renewals at a higher price than they first paid.
Scam losses. In 2025 the FBI's IC3 recorded 23,159 confidence/romance complaints with $929,287,469 in losses, which works out to about $40,000 per complaint (our arithmetic). (IC3 2025 report) The FTC says people reported losing about $16 billion to fraud overall in 2025, the highest on record. (FTC)
Red flags in the money talk
- She asks for an allowance, travel money or a "verification fee" before you have met.
- Payment requested in gift cards or crypto.
- A "can't-lose" investment tip after a few weeks of chat.
- Pressure to prepay a month or more in advance.
- A number far above your city's range with no flexibility.
Who this budget suits
If the light scenario already stretches you, a PPM arrangement with fewer meetings is a sounder start than a monthly promise you can't keep. If the medium scenario is comfortable, a monthly allowance with a clear meeting schedule is the common pattern. Whatever the level, pay after meetings at first and keep everything you spend inside a fixed monthly cap.
FAQ
What is the minimum cost to be a sugar daddy?
On these figures, around $1,350 a month for four meetings at the low end of standard PPM plus a Seeking Platinum month. Smaller cities can run lower, according to our allowance guide's city ranges.
Is Seeking the most expensive site?
Seeking Diamond, at USD 375 for 30 days, is the highest flat monthly price in the table. Credit sites can cost less for light use, but every unanswered unlock still costs money.
Do I have to pay gift tax on an allowance?
Not usually tax itself, but if payments count as gifts and pass $19,000 to one person in 2026, the IRS generally expects the giver to file Form 709. Check with a tax professional.
How much does exclusivity add?
Our allowance guide puts the premium at roughly 20% to 40% on top of the base allowance.
