Sudy is a real app from a Hong Kong company, Sudy Limited, but in 2026 it survives only as an Android app with a 2.0 rating, a Gmail support address and a website that no longer loads, so it is not a platform to trust with money or personal data.

Sudy was one of the better-known sugar dating apps of the late 2010s. Many review pages still describe it as a polished iOS and Android app with income checks for sugar daddies. The public record in October 2026 tells a thinner story. This page sets out what can be checked today and what cannot.

The short answer

Sudy is not a fake brand. There is a Google Play listing from a named developer, Sudy Limited, with a Hong Kong office address, updated in April 2026. But the listing scores 2.0 out of 5, its privacy policy and terms links point to a domain that no longer resolves, Trustpilot says the company's website has closed, and no Sudy Limited app turned up in the US App Store. A service in that state can stop working, or stop answering, at any point. If you want a sugar dating app, there are better-documented options.

How Sudy got here

Sudy's own iOS install page, last updated in April 2019, offered an "In-house" enterprise build that asked iPhone users to "Trust Developer" in their settings, and told them to "uninstall Sudy you purchased from the App Store" first. That is a sign the App Store version had gone. A third-party app tracker records the original Android app, "Sugar Daddy Dating App - Sudy", as unpublished from Google Play in October 2019. The current Play listing is a different package with softer wording ("Elite Dating App"). Whether it is the same product line as the original is not confirmed by any official page, though it carries the same company name.

What users complain about most

There are few complaint channels left, so the Google Play reviews carry most of the weight. The most-upvoted reviews repeat a few themes:

  • Profiles that cannot be deleted. One reviewer says the only deletion method is to rename the profile "DELETE", and the app would not save the change: "App will not delete profile or photos."
  • Login and password-reset failures. Several reviewers say reset codes never arrive and support barely responds.
  • Broken basics. Photo uploads failing and the app reporting network errors when the connection is fine.
  • Profile quality. DatingScout rates profile quality 2.5 out of 5, its lowest sub-score for the app.

Older third-party reviews from 2022 and 2023 are more positive. They describe a working app with income checks. Treat them as history rather than as a picture of the app today.

Risk notes

  • Data you cannot remove. If deletion does not work and the website is down, your photos and messages may stay on the service. Do not upload anything you would not want kept.
  • No web account page. With the website unreachable, the app is the only place to manage a subscription. If you subscribed through Google Play, cancel in Play Store > Subscriptions; uninstalling the app does not stop billing.
  • Sideloaded iPhone builds. If you find a page asking you to "trust" an enterprise developer profile to install Sudy on an iPhone, skip it. That method bypasses Apple's App Store review, so nobody outside the developer has checked what the app does on your phone.
  • Usual sugar-dating scams. Anyone who asks you for a fee, a gift card or bank details before an allowance is paid is running a scam. Our guide to sugar dating scams and our steps to verify a sugar daddy is real apply here in full.

Who it suits

Sudy suits almost nobody in 2026 who has an alternative. Android users who want to try it should use the free tier only, avoid uploading private photos, and pay nothing until they have seen real activity. iPhone users have no supported way in. FAQ

Is Sudy a scam?

There is no evidence that Sudy itself is a scam. It is a real app from Sudy Limited in Hong Kong. But its website did not load when checked in October 2026, its support email is a Gmail address and its Play rating is 2.0, so there is little recourse if something goes wrong.

Is Sudy available on iPhone?

Not through the App Store, based on a US App Store search in October 2026. Sudy's old iOS install page relied on an enterprise certificate, which is not a safe way to install a dating app.

How much does Sudy cost?

Third-party figures put sugar daddy premium at $69.99 a month and sugar baby premium at $14.99 a month, with cheaper rates on 3- and 6-month plans. These could not be confirmed on an official page.

Does Sudy verify its members?

Third-party reviews describe a photo check for sugar babies and income verification for sugar daddies. Neither is required to sign up, and the method and accuracy of the income check are not published.
