RichMeetBeautiful is a European sugar dating platform. It has a strange name, it's based in Switzerland, and it's actually decent if you're the right kind of user in the right location.

I tested it for about 3 months with limited expectations. Here's what happened.

What it is

Swiss company, founded 2013. Operates mostly in Europe - UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Scandinavia - but has expanded to North America and Australia.

Their whole angle is "wealthy and attractive singles connecting." They mean that more literally than most platforms. They have wealth verification (not just income verification but actual wealth - net worth-type information) and profile approval processes.

User base: smaller than Seeking, in the same ballpark as SugarDaddyMeet maybe, but concentrated in European markets. In the US it's sparse outside of NYC and LA.

SDs pay €60-70/month. Sugar babies join free. They claim stringent verification but the actual strictness is somewhere between their marketing and nothing.

European vs American sugar dating culture

Worth mentioning upfront: European arrangement culture is somewhat different. A bit more casual about the whole thing, less performance-required than the American version sometimes feels. There's less of the explicit "here's my allowance budget" negotiation and more of a lifestyle-access angle.

Some people find this refreshing. Others find it hard to navigate if they're used to American sugar dating norms.

My 3 months testing

I'm in Chicago, which is not ideal for this platform. I was upfront about this in my testing - I expected limited results.

Month 1: Profile got approved after a brief wait (they do actually review profiles, which is nice). User base in Chicago was thin. Found maybe 20-25 active-looking SDs in my area. Messaged several. Lower response rate than my usual platforms.

Month 2: Had 3 dates from the platform. One UK-based guy was visiting Chicago for work. Two were Chicago-based, one clearly connected to European business networks. No arrangements started this month but some ongoing conversations.

Month 3: Started 1 casual arrangement with a German-American guy in finance. More lifestyle-based than cash allowance - dinners, an event, some shopping. Ended after 6 weeks.

Not my most productive 3 months, but I also wasn't in the platform's strongest market.

What's actually good here

The SD quality when you find one is genuinely higher. The wealth verification isn't perfect but it does something. The SDs I interacted with were, on average, more financially comfortable than my average Seeking encounters.

Profile quality standards. They actually review profiles and reject low-effort or inappropriate ones. The result is a cleaner platform experience.

Better for international travel arrangements. A ton of European SDs travel to NY and LA for business. If you're in those cities and open to international connections, RichMeetBeautiful is worth having as an account.

Less competition than Seeking. Obviously because the user base is smaller, but if you're in a major city that has active users, you're not competing with 1,000 other SBs.

What's not great

US user base is thin outside NYC/LA. I said this already but it's worth repeating because it's the main limitation. In most American cities, you'll get maybe 10-15% of the activity you'd see on Seeking.

Website is a bit clunky. Not as bad as some but not modern either. Mobile experience is mediocre.

Less explicit about the sugar dating dynamic. The platform uses softer language which can make conversations more ambiguous. Some people like this. If you want to be clear about arrangements from the start, you'll need to initiate that conversation yourself.

Subscription pricing is in Euros which means it fluctuates in USD and feels slightly random. Small thing but slightly annoying.

Who should actually use this

You should try RichMeetBeautiful if:

  • You're in NYC, LA, San Francisco, or another major city with international business traffic
  • You're open to meeting European SDs who travel to the US
  • You've been to Europe or travel there and want connections there
  • You specifically want higher-end arrangements with more lifestyle focus
  • You want to supplement Seeking with a more curated user base

Skip or deprioritize if:

  • You're in a mid-size US city (the user base will be too thin)
  • You want clear allowance-based arrangements with less ambiguity
  • You need volume - this is a quality-over-quantity platform

Comparison to main US platforms

vs Seeking: Much smaller US user base, higher average SD wealth, more European/international users, better for travel arrangements, weaker for standard domestic arrangements vs Secret Benefits: Similar user base size, different demographic entirely, RMB skews more old-money European vs SB's American professional

Overall assessment

3/5 for US users. 4.5/5 for European users or US users in international-facing cities.

It's a real platform that's been running for 12 years. It's not a scam. The wealth verification adds something genuine. But it's a niche platform and using it in the wrong market is frustrating.

Best use case: NYC or LA sugar baby who wants to supplement Seeking with access to the European executive/international business traveler demographic. For everyone else, it's a backup at best.

The name is also terrible and I'm not going to stop thinking that but I guess it's memorable.
