So people kept asking me "how fast can you realistically find an arrangement" and I didn't have a good answer.

My first arrangement took me like 3 months because I had no idea what I was doing. But once I figured out the process, I wondered - how fast COULD you do this if you actually knew what you were doing and executed well?

I decided to test it. New city (I was in Austin for work), fresh profile, see how fast I could go from zero to having an arrangement.

Result: 9 days from creating profile to first arrangement starting.

So yes, 7 days is possible. But there's a lot of caveats.

Why 7 days is realistic but not guaranteed

Here's what has to line up:

You need to be in a decent-sized city: Small towns don't have enough users. Austin has maybe 200-300 active sugar daddies on Seeking. That's enough. A town of 50k people? Probably not.

You need good photos ready: Can't spend 2 days getting photos. Need them on day 1.

You need to dedicate actual time: Like 2-3 hours per day minimum. If you can only check the app once a day for 20 minutes, this will take longer.

You need some luck: Right people online at right time, someone who wants to move quickly, schedules lining up.

You need to execute everything correctly: No rookie mistakes, efficient process, good decision making.

If any of these don't line up, it'll take longer. And that's fine.

What I actually did day by day

Day 1: Made the profile. Took like 3 hours total because I already had photos ready and knew how to write a good profile. Sent 15 first messages to people who seemed compatible.

Day 2: Got 6 responses. Continued conversations with all 6. Sent 10 more first messages to new people. Now have 10 active conversations going.

Day 3: Narrowed down to 5 conversations that seemed most promising. Started discussing expectations with 2 of them. Sent 5 more first messages to keep pipeline full.

Day 4: Got specific about allowance/frequency with 3 people. Suggested video calls to 2 of them. Scheduled both for next day.

Day 5: Did 2 video calls. One was meh, one was great. Scheduled coffee meet with the great one for 2 days later. Kept other conversations going as backup.

Day 6: Had another video call with a different person (also went well). Now have 2 potential first meets scheduled.

Day 7: First coffee meet. Went really well. Discussed arrangement details. Agreed to start with second meet happening in 2 days.

Day 9: Second meet (official first arrangement meet). Started arrangement. $2800/month, 2-3x per month.

Total timeline: 9 days. Close enough to 7.

What had to go right

Right city: Austin is big enough to have active users but small enough that competition isn't insane.

Right timing: Multiple people were actively checking the app when I messaged them.

Right profile: Had this dialed in from previous experience. Got good response rate immediately.

Right conversations: Found compatible people quickly who were also serious about meeting fast.

Right schedule: Both my schedule and theirs lined up for fast meets.

Right chemistry: First person I met in person worked out. If first date was a dud I'd be back at day 3-4 in the process.

Any of these going wrong would've added days or weeks.

What this actually looked like time-wise

Day 1: 3 hours (profile creation, initial messages) Day 2-3: 2 hours each day (managing conversations, sending new messages) Day 4-6: 2-3 hours per day (video calls, scheduling, maintaining conversations) Day 7-9: Time for actual meets

Total time investment: 15-20 hours over 9 days.

That's a lot. Most people can't dedicate that much time while working/studying.

What would slow this down

Bad photos: If I had to spend days getting good photos, add 2-3 days.

Bad profile: If my profile sucked and got low response rate, add 1-2 weeks.

Slow messaging: If I only checked app once a day, double the timeline.

Small city: If there were only 20-30 active users, could take weeks to find someone compatible.

Picky about partners: If I only wanted to meet absolutely perfect matches, add weeks.

Scheduling conflicts: If schedules don't line up for meets, add days or weeks.

Bad luck: If first 2-3 first dates don't work out, add 2-3 weeks.

Realistically for most people: 14-21 days is more accurate than 7 days.

The day-by-day breakdown (if you want to try this)

Day 1 - Setup:

  • Get 5-7 good photos (or use existing ones if you have them)
  • Create profile with specific details
  • Fill out all sections
  • Get verified
  • Browse for 30 minutes to understand the market
  • Send 15-20 first messages

Time: 3-4 hours

Day 2 - First wave continues:

  • Respond to any replies (probably 5-8 responses)
  • Continue conversations that seem promising
  • Send 15 more first messages
  • Start filtering for compatibility

Time: 2 hours

Day 3 - Narrow down:

  • Focus on top 5-7 conversations
  • Start mentioning why you're sugar dating
  • Gauge their seriousness and expectations
  • Let dead conversations die

Time: 2 hours

Day 4 - Get specific:

  • Discuss arrangement type with top 3 conversations
  • Talk about allowance ranges
  • Confirm logistics (availability, location)
  • Suggest video calls to anyone you're aligned with

Time: 2-3 hours

Day 5-6 - Video calls:

  • Do 2-3 video calls
  • Assess chemistry and compatibility
  • Suggest first meets to anyone promising
  • Try to schedule meets for next 2-3 days

Time: 2-3 hours (mostly the calls themselves)

Day 7 - First meet:

  • Coffee or lunch with most promising person
  • Discuss arrangement in person
  • Confirm everything's aligned
  • Schedule second meet (first official arrangement meet)

Time: 1-2 hours for the meet

Day 8-10 - Follow through:

  • Second meet
  • Start arrangement

This is the optimistic timeline. Reality might add delays at any stage.

Things that went wrong (even with experience)

One person ghosted right before scheduled video call. Just disappeared. Had to pivot to backup option.

One video call was a total mismatch. He was nice but we had zero chemistry. Would've been obvious waste of time if we'd met in person.

Scheduling was hard. Had to reschedule one meet because his work thing came up. Added 2 days.

I got tired. Managing multiple conversations while working and doing regular life is exhausting. By day 6 I was kind of burnt out.

Even with everything going mostly right, it was harder than expected.

The mental side of this

Doing this fast-track approach is stressful:

  • Lots of conversations to track
  • Pressure to move things forward quickly
  • Risk of burning out
  • Easy to make mistakes when rushing
  • Emotionally draining to meet multiple people quickly

I wouldn't recommend this as your normal approach. I did it as an experiment. Normal pace is healthier.

What I'd do differently if I did it again

Start with fewer messages: 15-20 first messages per day was too much. 10 per day would be more manageable.

Space out video calls: I did 2 in one day and it was exhausting. One per day max.

Take a break day: By day 6 I was tired. Should've built in a rest day.

Lower expectations: Went in thinking "I'm gonna nail this in 7 days" which added pressure. Better to aim for 14 days and be pleasantly surprised if it's faster.

Is 7 days actually the goal?

Not really.

Better goals:

  • Find a quality arrangement with someone compatible
  • Don't waste time on dead-end conversations
  • Move intentionally through the process

Whether that takes 7 days or 21 days or 45 days matters less than finding something that actually works.

I've had arrangements that started in 2 weeks and lasted 6+ months. I've had arrangements that started in 2 months and lasted 1 month.

Speed doesn't correlate with quality.

The realistic timeline for most people

Based on my experience and talking to like 30+ other sugar babies:

Fast: 10-14 days (everything goes smoothly) Normal: 3-6 weeks (typical for most people) Slow: 2-3 months (small market or very specific preferences)

If you're past 3 months with no arrangement, something's wrong. Either your profile, your approach, your expectations, or your market.

What actually determines your timeline

Your profile quality: Bad profile = 2x longer Your photos: Bad photos = 3x longer Your response rate: Low response rate = longer timeline Your market size: Small city = longer timeline Your selectivity: Very picky = longer timeline Your availability: Limited availability = longer timeline Your luck: Sometimes you just match with right person immediately

Common mistakes that slow people down

Spending weeks optimizing profile: Perfection is the enemy of good enough. Make it decent and start messaging.

Waiting for perfect matches: You'll never find perfect. Go on dates with "good enough" matches.

Texting forever without meeting: If you're not meeting within 14 days, the conversation is dead.

Not suggesting video calls: Waiting for them to suggest it means it might never happen.

Only talking to one person at a time: You need options. Talk to 3-5 people simultaneously.

Giving up after 2 weeks: This takes time. Give it at least 60 days of real effort.

The unsexy truth

Most people won't get an arrangement in 7 days. Most people won't even get one in 14 days.

Average time from starting to first arrangement: 6-8 weeks.

That's fine. That's normal.

The 7-day thing is possible but it requires:

  • Experience (knowing what you're doing)
  • Good market (enough active users)
  • Time investment (2-3 hours daily)
  • Efficiency (no wasted effort)
  • Luck (right people at right time)

Most beginners don't have the experience. Most people can't invest 2-3 hours daily. Most timelines are longer.

If you want to try the fast-track approach

Here's what you actually need:

Ready on day 1:

  • 5-7 good photos
  • Clear idea of what arrangement you want
  • Realistic allowance expectations for your market
  • 2-3 hours per day to dedicate to this

Skills you need:

  • Write decent profile
  • Send personalized messages
  • Hold conversations
  • Suggest video calls and meets without being weird
  • Assess compatibility quickly

Mindset you need:

  • Okay with rejection
  • Comfortable moving fast
  • Willing to meet multiple people
  • Realistic expectations

If you don't have all of these, the timeline will be longer. And that's okay.

My actual recommendation

Forget the 7-day goal. It's arbitrary.

Instead:

Week 1: Make great profile, start messaging people. Week 2: Continue conversations, do video calls. Week 3: Go on first dates. Week 4: Probably start first arrangement.

This is a more realistic 3-4 week timeline that doesn't require sprint-level intensity.

Final thoughts

Can you get an arrangement in 7 days? Yes.

Should you try to? Probably not.

Better approach: Execute the process well without arbitrary time pressure. Whether it takes 10 days or 40 days, focus on finding something quality.

I did the 7-day thing as an experiment. It worked but it was exhausting and stressful. Normal pace is better for most people.

Also worth noting - the arrangement I found in 9 days lasted 3 months. Nothing special. My best arrangements (6+ months) took 4-6 weeks to find but were way higher quality.

Sometimes slow is better.

Anyway that's my experience attempting the fast-track approach. Your results will vary dramatically based on your situation.

Don't stress about timelines. Focus on execution. The rest will follow.
