A Seeking suspension usually follows a member report or a rule break such as mentioning money for dates, using more than one account or a failed selfie check; the fix is to read the suspension email, open a support ticket, and accept that a refund is unlikely because Seeking's terms say all purchases are final.
Seeking (formerly SeekingArrangement) is run by Reflex Media, Inc. in Las Vegas. Its terms let it end a membership for any reason, with or without notice. Its community guidelines set out a ladder from a first temporary suspension to a permanent ban. The steps below come from Seeking's terms, FAQ, community guidelines and support form, checked in October 2026. Where third-party blogs add detail, it is labelled.
The short answer
A first offence normally means a temporary suspension, not a ban. Seeking's FAQ says the profile is put on a temporary hold and that you get an email with the steps needed to lift it. Repeat or serious offences lead to longer suspensions and then a permanent ban. You can contact support by ticket or email, and Seeking says it typically replies within 24 to 48 hours. Paid time is not refunded, apart from a few narrow exceptions in the terms.
Common reasons, from Seeking's own rules
| Reason | What the rule says | Source | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|
| Compensated companionship | Bans dating or intimacy in exchange for money, gifts or financial support, including words like "allowance" and "PPM" | Community guidelines | October 2026 |
| Escorting or selling content | Using the site as an escort, or selling photos or videos | Terms, FAQ | October 2026 |
| Asking for money | Members who ask for money or claim hardship face suspension, then a ban if it repeats | Community guidelines | October 2026 |
| More than one account | Having or keeping more than one account is prohibited | Terms | October 2026 |
| False profile details | Posting false, misleading or incomplete content about yourself | Terms | October 2026 |
| Member reports and abuse | Reports, abusive language and asking for personal information | FAQ | October 2026 |
| Suspected under 18 | Accounts flagged as under 18 are banned permanently | Community guidelines | October 2026 |
| Payment disputes | A bank chargeback is listed as a suspension reason and can leave you owing fees | FAQ, Terms | October 2026 |
| Photo rules | Primary photo must show only you with an unobstructed face; no lingerie, swimwear or AI-edited primary photos | Community guidelines | October 2026 |

Since early 2025, every new member must pass an AI selfie liveness check that compares a live selfie with profile photos. Seeking's founder wrote in October 2025 that the check had blocked more than 53,000 scammers and cut fraud issues by over 90%. Those are company figures. A failed or skipped check can block an account before it goes live.
Step by step
1. Find out what happened. Read the suspension email first. The FAQ says it lists the steps to lift the hold. Check your spam folder. Under the guidelines, a first violation can mean watching an educational video, passing a quiz on the rules and having reduced search visibility for a period.
2. Do not open a second account. Multiple accounts break the terms on their own. Serious violations are checked against all of Seeking's platforms, and linked accounts are blocked too.
3. Appeal in writing. Open a ticket at the support form and choose the closest category, such as Profile / Photo Approval or Billing. You can also email support from your registered address. Seeking does not offer phone or text support. Give your username, the date, and a short, calm request to review the decision and name the rule involved. Remove anything from your profile that might have triggered it.
4. Know the limits of an appeal. The guidelines allow reactivation on appeal mainly when the behaviour was in the distant past. Offences that present a physical safety risk are not eligible for appeal. Third-party blogs, such as GetArranged (June 2026), say most appeals get a template reply and that waits can run from 48 hours to several weeks. That is their reading, not Seeking policy.
5. Stop the billing. If the ban is final, cancel any renewal. Our guide to cancel a Seeking subscription covers each step, including Google Play billing.
Refund reality
The terms say Reflex Media keeps a strict no-refund policy and that no refunds are issued for unused membership time or credits. The narrow exceptions are a site outage over 72 hours, a three-day cancellation right in ten US states, disability or death, and separate rules in the EU, EEA and UK. Google Play handles refund requests within 48 hours of a Play purchase. A chargeback is risky: the terms make you liable for the balance plus dispute fees, and the FAQ lists payment disputes as a suspension reason.
Prices make this costly. From January 1, 2026, Platinum costs $150 for 30 days or $380 for 90 days, and Diamond costs $375 for 30 days, per Seeking's own blog. A 90-day plan is billed upfront.
What gets you banned again
- Using money words in your profile or messages, even jokingly.
- A new account from the same email, phone, photos or payment card. Third-party sites report that Seeking matches devices and IP addresses too, which Seeking has not confirmed.
- A VPN that makes your location jump. Third-party blogs list this as a trigger; Seeking's own pages do not.
- Repeating whatever the first suspension named.
How to protect an account
- Complete the selfie check with clear, recent photos of only you.
- Keep the primary photo within the photo rules.
- Discuss expectations without amounts or terms of payment on the platform.
- Buy 30 days before 90, since sales are final.
- Report anyone who asks you for money. Our sugar dating scams guide covers the common scripts.
What users complain about most
Seeking's Trustpilot score is 1.6 out of 5 from 41 reviews, with 86% one-star. The most common theme is an account suspended soon after paying, sometimes within minutes, with no refund. Other reviewers describe repeated ID or passport requests followed by a ban, and support that answers with a template. Reflex Media holds an F rating at the BBB, with 48 complaints closed in three years. See Is Seeking legit? for the full record.
Risk notes
- Seeking's terms let it end a membership for any reason, so a reinstatement is never guaranteed.
- Pages offering a phone number for "Seeking support" are not official. Seeking says it gives no phone support.
- Do not pay anyone who promises to "unban" an account.
What to do next
Send one clear appeal, cancel any renewal, and wait. If the ban stands, compare other options in our Seeking alternatives guide instead of opening a new account.
FAQ
How long does a Seeking suspension last?
Seeking does not publish fixed lengths. Its guidelines describe a temporary first suspension, longer ones for repeat violations, then a permanent ban. Some third-party blogs report first suspensions of 24 to 72 hours.
Can I get a refund if Seeking bans me?
Usually not. The terms say no refunds for unused membership time or credits. Exceptions cover outages over 72 hours, three-day cancellations in ten US states, disability or death, and EU, EEA and UK customers.
How do I contact Seeking about a suspension?
Open a ticket through the support form or email support from your registered address. Seeking says it typically replies within 24 to 48 hours and does not offer phone or text support.
Can I just make a new Seeking account?
Not within the rules. The terms ban having more than one account, and serious violations are checked across all Seeking platforms. A new account can be blocked as well.
