WhatsYourPrice runs mainly on credits that Generous members buy to unlock messaging, and third-party reviewers list packs from $50 for 100 credits to $250 for 1,000 credits. Beyond the credits, the first date offer is paid from one member to the other, not to the site. That makes the real cost of using WhatsYourPrice harder to pin down than a flat monthly fee.
The site itself does not publish a public price list. Credit prices sit behind a login, so most of the numbers below come from review sites rather than from WhatsYourPrice. Where only one outside source reports a figure, we say so.
Price table
| Plan / pack | Price | Billing | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 credits | $50 (third-party) | One-time | datingscout.com |
| 500 credits | $150 (third-party) | One-time | datingscout.com |
| 1,000 credits | $250 (third-party) | One-time | datingscout.com |
| Unlock messaging after an accepted offer | About 10 credits (roughly $5), reported by one reviewer; unverified | Per unlock | datinggroup.in |
| Date offer (the "bid") | Set by members; DatingScout says minimum $5, typically $25–50; homepage shows an average offer of $120 | Per date, paid person to person | whatsyourprice.com, datingscout.com |
| ID Verified (blue badge) | $4.99 (official) | One-time | whatsyourprice.com/faq |
Prices checked September 30, 2026; official price pages require login, so figures come from the sources shown.
Two points matter when reading this table. First, credits are what the site earns; the date offer is an agreement between two members, and the money for it does not pass through WhatsYourPrice. Second, the ID Verified fee is the only price we could confirm on an official WhatsYourPrice page.
What's free
According to the official FAQ and third-party reviews, these features cost nothing:
- Signing up and building a profile
- Browsing members
- Sending winks and saving favorites
- Selfie Verified (the gold badge), which matches a live selfie to your profile photo
Attractive members (the side receiving offers) are not described as buying credits. Generous members, mostly men, are the ones who buy credits to unlock conversations once an offer is accepted.
Renewals, refunds and hidden costs
Refunds are narrow. The official FAQ says credits are refunded only if the other profile is removed by an administrator or caught by the automated security system. There is no refund if the other person doesn't reply, if you already exchanged messages or contact details, or if a date took place.
Subscriptions are an open question. One third-party site describes a premium membership at around $29.99 a month, while DatingScout says WhatsYourPrice has no premium membership at all. At the same time, some Trustpilot reviewers complain about unexpected auto-renewals at higher rates. We could not confirm which account is right, so check your billing settings and card statement after any purchase.
Other costs to budget for:
- The date offer itself, which you negotiate and pay directly
- The optional $4.99 ID check if you want the blue badge
- An optional background check that the site mentions; its price is unverified
Credits you cannot get back. Because refunds don't cover unanswered messages or no-shows, credits spent on a profile that later turns out to be fake are usually gone unless the site removes that profile. Trustpilot reviewers often mention accepted offers followed by cancellations or no-shows after credits were spent.

Is it worth it?
WhatsYourPrice's listed credit packs are cheaper per pack than some rivals on the same third-party sources. DatingScout lists Secret Benefits at $59 for 100 credits, $169 for 500 and $289 for 1,000, and Ashley Madison's 100-credit bundle at $59. Seeking, which is run by the same Brandon Wade-linked group, was listed at $109.99 for a month of Premium before a January 2026 price increase whose new amounts we could not find.
The catch is that credit packs are only part of the spend. On WhatsYourPrice you also pay the date offer, and the site's refund rules put the risk of flakes and fake profiles largely on the buyer. Member numbers are also disputed: the homepage claims more than 6.6 million members, while DatingScout estimates around 455,000 members and about 50,000 active weekly.
If you want a pay-per-contact model and are comfortable setting a clear budget per date, the structure can work. If you prefer a single monthly fee and a wider pool, compare options in our best sugar dating sites guide or our list of WhatsYourPrice alternatives.
FAQ
Do women pay on WhatsYourPrice?
Third-party reviews describe Generous members, mostly men, as the ones buying credits. Sign-up, browsing, winks, favorites and selfie verification are free for everyone.
Is the date offer paid to WhatsYourPrice?
No. The offer amount is agreed between two members and paid person to person. The site earns from credits and optional verification.
Can I get a refund for unused or wasted credits?
Only in limited cases. The official FAQ allows refunds when the other profile is removed by an admin or caught by the security system, not when someone ignores you or cancels a date.
Does WhatsYourPrice have a monthly subscription?
Sources disagree. One third-party site reports a premium plan around $29.99 a month; DatingScout says there is none. Some users report auto-renewals, so review your account settings after buying.
