Pick Seeking if you want an ongoing arrangement and can justify a $150-a-month subscription, and WhatsYourPrice if you only want to set up first dates and would rather pay per conversation. The two sites come from the same founder, Brandon Wade, and share the same Las Vegas operator group, so the real choice is between two business models, not two companies.

The short answer

Seeking is a subscription sugar dating site. Paying members, mostly men, buy a monthly or 90-day plan, and women can join and message free. WhatsYourPrice is a bidding site. A "Generous" member offers money for a first date, an "Attractive" member accepts, declines or counters, and the Generous member then spends credits to unlock messaging. The date offer itself is paid person to person, not to the site.

Seeking published its 2026 prices in a blog post signed by Brandon Wade: $150 for 30 days of Platinum and $375 for 30 days of Diamond, effective January 1, 2026. WhatsYourPrice credit packs, per third-party reviewers, start at $50. The trade-off is ongoing access to a larger pool against a cheaper, more transactional route to one date.

Many third-party sites still list Seeking at $109.99 a month for Premium and $274.99 for Diamond. Those figures predate the increase, and Seeking's own post gives the pre-2026 prices as $130 and $325, so treat the older numbers as stale. Full tables are in our Seeking pricing and WhatsYourPrice pricing breakdowns.

Where WhatsYourPrice wins

Lower entry cost. The smallest third-party credit pack costs $50, against $150 for a month of Seeking Platinum. If you only plan to arrange one or two dates, that gap is large. Remember to add the date offer itself. The homepage gives an average offer of about $120, and DatingScout reports a $5 minimum with typical offers of $25 to $50.

Expectations up front. The offer sets the terms of the first meeting before anyone spends time messaging. The site says nearly 30% of offers are accepted (a November 2024 figure).

A cheap, government-ID badge. The ID Verified badge costs $4.99, uses a selfie plus a government ID through Au10tix, and is listed in the official FAQ.

A partial refund rule. Credits come back if the profile you paid to contact is removed by an administrator or caught by the security system. Seeking offers no refunds at all.

Where Seeking wins

Built for ongoing arrangements. A subscription lets you message as many members as you like for the period, which suits someone looking for a longer arrangement rather than a single date. Seeking's official site claims "four women for every man who pays for access", a company claim, not an audited figure.

A bigger claimed audience. Seeking claims 46 million or more members, against WhatsYourPrice's 6.6 million. DatingScout's own estimates are far lower for both (1.3 million US members for Seeking, about 455,000 for WhatsYourPrice), but the ranking holds.

An Android app. Seeking is on Google Play with a 3.8/5 rating and more than 5 million downloads. WhatsYourPrice has no app in either store, so you use it in a browser.

Free for women, with no bidding. Women can join, search and message free. One third party lists an optional paid women's package, but the core features cost nothing.

Red flags on both

  • Same operator, same complaint record. Reflex Media Inc holds an F rating at the BBB, with 48 complaints closed in three years. That profile covers all its brands, so a bad record at one is a bad record at the other.
  • Fake and scam profiles. WhatsYourPrice reviewers describe a site "flooded with scammers", with profiles that accept offers and then ask for money upfront. Seeking reviewers report fakes and escort profiles quoting hourly rates.
  • Billing surprises. Seeking renews automatically by default and bills 90-day plans upfront. WhatsYourPrice reviewers report unexpected auto-renewals, although sources disagree on whether it sells a subscription at all.
  • Suspensions after payment. Seeking reviewers report accounts suspended soon after paying, with no refund.
  • Advance-fee scams. On either site, anyone who asks for a gift card, deposit or "verification fee" before meeting is running a scam. Our sugar dating scams guide covers the common scripts.

Which to choose

  • You want one or two first dates and a fixed budget: WhatsYourPrice. Buy the smallest pack and keep offers modest until you have verified the person on video.
  • You want an ongoing arrangement and message widely: Seeking. Buy 30 days first, because sales are final and 90-day plans are billed upfront.
  • You renewed Seeking before January 1, 2026: keep the plan active. Seeking says pre-2026 subscribers keep their old price only while the subscription stays live.
  • You are a woman joining either site: both are free for you. On WhatsYourPrice, consider the $4.99 ID badge. On Seeking, complete the free selfie check.
  • You want to avoid Reflex Media altogether: see our Seeking alternatives, WhatsYourPrice alternatives or the best sugar dating sites.

FAQ

Are WhatsYourPrice and Seeking owned by the same company?

They share a founder and an operator group. Brandon Wade founded both. Seeking is run by Reflex Media, Inc. in Las Vegas, and the WhatsYourPrice FAQ names W8 Tech Limited and related companies, with Reflex Media Inc listed as its US operator.

How much does Seeking cost in 2026?

Seeking's official blog lists Platinum at $150 for 30 days and $380 for 90 days, and Diamond at $375 for 30 days, from January 1, 2026. The Gold tier price was not stated.

Is WhatsYourPrice cheaper than Seeking?

For occasional use, yes. Third-party figures put 100 credits at $50, against $150 for a month of Seeking Platinum. On WhatsYourPrice you also pay each date offer directly to the other member, so frequent use can cost more.

Can I get a refund on either site?

Seeking's FAQ says all sales are final. WhatsYourPrice refunds credits only when the profile you contacted is removed by an administrator or flagged by its security system, not when someone ignores you or cancels a date.
